Dr Kate Torpey B. Hlth. Sci (Pod), M. APodA
Kate graduated from Charles Sturt University in Albury in 2006 with a Bachelor of Health Science (Podiatry).
After 2 years at a private practice on the Mornington Peninsula, she took off on her first big overseas trip, ready to see the world and seek adventure after such a long period of study and development. At the end of this trip, predictably broke and looking for work closer to home, she moved to Horsham ‘temporarily’. 10 years on she is now the joint owner and co-founder of Elite Podiatry Centre.
Kate has a keen interest in advancing podiatry techniques and believes that people in the country should be able to access similar healthcare standards to those in larger metropolitan areas. To achieve this, Kate has completed further training across a diverse range of areas and has been able to offer her patients high-level services such as ESWT, Laser Therapy, Dry Needling and FMT for many years.
Kate treats patients of all ages and from all walks of life. However, she has a particular interest in paediatrics and sporting injuries. Working with children - particularly very young children - brings with it its own unique set of challenges
Kate’s professional, enthusiastic and friendly manner means she is committed to offering her patients quality care and is always willing to put in the time and effort to ensure the best possible outcome for her patients.
When not at work, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 young children, travelling (not very far these days when the kids are in tow) and keeping active as much as possible.
Dr Loretta Howe B. Pod, M. APodA. (Podiatrist)
Loretta is a co-owner and founder of Elite Podiatry Centre. After studying at the University of South Australia, she moved to Horsham in 2005 where she has worked as a Podiatrist in both private and public settings across the Wimmera.
She has had opportunities to help people with their foot problems in the communities of Horsham, Warracknabeal, St Arnaud, Minyip, Murtoa, Dimboola, Natimuk and Nhill over the years, bringing her experience and her passion for her work to patients across the region.
After moving to Horsham, Loretta met her husband and the pair began to consider settling down in the area. Since relocating, Loretta has fallen in love with the region and all it has to offer, enjoying the great life which she has here in Horsham, along with her husband and her two young boys.
Loretta offers services which cover all aspects of podiatry, but her special interests include sporting injuries as well as children's podiatry. To support this, Loretta has undertaken further training, building up her experience in using advanced techniques like ESWT, FMT, dry needling and paediatric assessment. Loretta is dedicated to continuing her education to keep up to date with the latest treatment options to be able to offer her patients the best possible care.
Loretta is excited to be part of Elite Podiatry Centre and is energised by the high-level technology and cutting-edge assessment and treatment techniques deployed by the team here. Patients can benefit from the latest ESWT machine, video treadmill gait analysis, 3D scanning for orthotic impressions and 3D printed customised orthotics, among other technologies.
Loretta enjoys working together with her patients to achieve their treatment goals. Helping patients to resume their desired activity or sport sooner rather than later, and in improved physical condition, is her passion.
Tracey Klemm (Reception)
Tracey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Elite Podiatry Centre. While working in the administration industry for the past 10 years, she has completed Customer Service Training, Certificate IV in Retail Management, a Diploma in Retail Management, and has achieved great results as part of the Wimmera Leadership group in 2012. Tracey’s other interests include spending time with family and friends, reading, renovating and interior design.
With experience as a practice manager, Tracey has knowledge and expertise in the foot and ankle care field, making her perfectly positioned to give you any preliminary advice and guidance you may need. This, coupled with her customer service excellence, makes Tracey a critical member of our team.
